Posh Palace Hair Studio & Spa is finally back in business, a week after KTN News anchor Betty Kyallo forced its closure by poaching key staff members. In a post on her Instagram page, its owner, Susan Kaittany, announced the doors to the salon along Lenana Road in Nairobi had reopened to mixed reactions from her fans.
While many were excited at the development and offered their congratulations and continued loyalty, others were eager to know whether the staff were back – a key pointer that it would take time for her to fully recover.
One Maureen Samson complained she sent her boss there and she could not find her favorite one who does her nails.
Kyallo, whose Flair with Betty salon is located just opposite Posh Palace at FCB Mihrab, has, meanwhile, been on a marketing spree to draw more clients to her business. The salon opened its doors on April 14.

She has been posting photos of how workers at Flair by Betty are good at their work in making her hair, doing tattoos and face beat make-up, among others.
Her latest post shows her taking up a barber’s job ostensibly because workers were overwhelmed by the number of clients who turned up.

Kyallo was originally a co-owner of Posh Palace but pulled out due to difference with Kaittany, whose nature has not been disclosed.

Last week, it was closed after 25 key staffers resigned to join Kyallo’s salon. It appears Kaittany, who initially hit back by erecting a billboard outside FCB Mihrab before opting for a tour of Singapore and Malaysia has been forced to recruit anew.
Only time will tell who will emerge the winner of this vicious business rivalry. Some critics have been asking Kyallo to live and let live instead of resorting to unfair practices.
