Major changes at the Star as Paul Ilado takes charge

New Radio Africa Group/The Star Head of Content Paul Ilado has effected major changes at the Star newspaper a day after he was tapped to replace David Makali, whose one-year tenure ended last month.

In the chances, which Ilado says are meant to strengthen the Star’s ditorial team, Francis Openda, who was tipped as being among Makali’s successors, has been named as the In-Dept and Business Editor.

Tom Jalio has been appointed the Features Editor while Grace Kerongo will be the Head, Sasa. Mercy Gakii will be the Deputy News Editor.

Joseph Olweny  has been retained as the Associate Editor (Daily) as was News Editor Francis Mureithi, Digital Editor Oliver Mathenge and Chris Mbaisi (Sports Editor). Jillo Kadida has been appointed the Deputy News Editor/Court.  Felix Olick replaces Ilado as Political Editor.

Other appointments are  Chim  Khasiani (Mpasho), Isaiah Langat (Echo),Maureen Waruinge  (Radio Sites), Susan Kiprono  (Radio news Editor), Cornelius Mwau (Deputy Radio news Editor), Josephine Mayuya (Chief sub and Production), Lucy Swan (Head of Design), James Kamau (Chief Designer), Norbert Allan ( Photo Editor), Monica Mwangi (Deputy Photo Editor) and Victoria Graham (Revise/Training Editor).
