Kenya Wine Agencies Ltd (KWAL) has announced the appointment of Lina Githuka as its new Managing Director and member of the board of directors effective November 1, 2018.
“Lina has a wealth of experience both nationally and internationally in the broader FMCG market. During her tenure as Commercial Director of KWAL, she made a significant contribution to the success of the organisation,” board chairman Njoroge Nani Mungai said in a statement.
Ms Githuka will replace Carlos Gomes who has served in the role since July 1, 2016.
“The Chairman and the Board take this opportunity to congratulate Ms. Githuka on her appointment and to thank Carlos for his outstanding contribution,” Mungai added.
Before joining KWAL, Ms Githuka worked at BAT (East & Central Africa) where she held various management positions in Kenya, South Africa and Uganda rising to the position of Head of Marketing. She was previously a brand manager at Unilever Kenya.
