Keroche heiress Anerlisa Muigai shortlisted for Young Entrepreneurs Awards

Kenyans have until November 25 to vote in the inaugural Young Entrepreneurs Awards (YEA) 2018 in a shortlist that includes Keroche Breweries heiress Anerlisa Muigai.

The 30 year old Anerlisa who is chief executive of Nero — the company that produces the Executive brand of mineral water —  has been nominated in the Young Female Entrepeneur of the Year category.

Of the three nominees in the Service Industry category includes Mary Njoki, the Managing Director of Glass House PR whose firm was listed in the Africa Top 40 under 40 Women Leaders 2017 by Amazon Watch Magazine.

Anerlisa and Mary are among the 32 nominees in 10 YEA Awards categories that were unveiled by Bizna Kenya on October 30.

Others who made the list include Ghafla proprieter Dennis Majani, musician Anto Neo Soul and Ruth Mwanzia of Kooler Waters.

Bizna Kenya said that the inaugural YEA Awards are designed to recognize, celebrate and encourage upcoming and industrious young entrepreneurs.

The Awards targets business proprieters aged between 18 and 35 years and seeks to encourage them to improve how they operate and manage a business for increased profitability.

Bizna Kenya Founder and CEO Tonnie Mello said,  he was delighted that his company was hosting the YEA Awards 2018 that would celebrate young entrepreneurs who are doing tremendous work to meet the needs in society.

“Young people lead the way in many endeavors in life, especially in entrepreneurship and we are happy to cheer them on. With this initiative, things can only get better in Kenyan businesses,” he said.

YEA Awards 2018 winners will get marketing and business support services worth over Ksh1 Million, Bizna Kenya said.
