Jumia upbeat as it lands Huawei Mate 10 deal

When it comes to striking deals for its shoppers, Jumia does not disappoint. In it’s the latest win, the leading online retailer has snapped exclusive rights to sell hottest smartphone on the market now: Huawei Mate 10.

According to the deal announced 22nd November, Jumia Kenya will exclusively sell the Mate 10 series online for two weeks before it gets into the retail stores in Kenya, giving shoppers a chance to grab the gadget during the launch period.

It is a major coup for Jumia Kenya against smaller retailers in the market.  It is also a vote of confidence from Huawei, a global leader in smartphones, which is using Jumia’s online platform as part of its global launch.

“We are delighted to have Huawei Mobile Kenya on board and I strongly believe this partnership will go a long way in ensuring that our growing customer base access various devices sold by Huawei Mobile,” says Sanaz Abaie, Head of Mobiles and Tablets at Jumia.

The new Huawei Mate 10 mobile devices features a 64GB memory and will retail at Ksh 79,999 and Mate 10 pro that comes with 128 GB memory priced at Ksh 89,999. The Huawei Mate 10 Series continues its legacy of superior product performance and longlasting battery life, while integrating New Leica Dual Camera technology.

The Huawei Mate 10 is intelligent as it comes with the world’s first artificial intelligence processor to offer users a faster, stronger and seamless experience. Thanks to the powerful Kirin 970 with a built-in neural processing unit (NPU), the Huawei Mate 10 can analyse and adapt to its surroundings while offering a fast and strong performance.

The deal comes during Jumia Kenya’s Black Friday month, which kicked off on 13th November and ends on 13th December.
