Huawei Y7 Prime 2019 to retail at Sh18,000 in Kenya

A smartphone offering AI Camera services will retail in Kenya at Ksh17,999, Huawei Mobile Kenya announced on January 31.

The Huawei Y7 Prime 2019 was launched by Huawei Mobile Kenya ready to pre-order at both retail stores across the country as well as online.

Huawei said for sales of the smartphone in the country, it has also partnered with Lipa Later, a credit facility that lets you pay for any device of your choice then pay monthly.

The phone will be available on pre-order until February 7.

According to the Kenyan distributors of the Chinese tech multinational, consumers who pre-order will receive a gift hamper as an appreciation from selected stores across country. At the same time they will be entered into a lucky draw where they stand a chance to walk away with a 40” screen TV, a Huawei Band 2 and other gifts.  

The Huawei Y7 Prime 2019 combines technology and stylish design, featuring a 6.26-inch Huawei Dewdrop display, 13MP AI Camera with a f/1.8 wide aperture lens. It also has a two-day battery and is powered by octa-core Qualcomm SoC Snapdragon 450.

Steven Li, Head of Eastern Africa Mobile for Huawei said the Y7 Prime 2019 is designed for “today’s dynamic youth” who are deeply engaged with the social media culture.

The Huawei Y7 Prime 2019 is considered by its Chinese maker as ‘mid-range’, and comes in red, blue and black colours.
