The Hub Karen (THK) lifestyle complex is set to celebrate its seventh beauty and grooming outlet, following the entry of the French cosmetics firm Yves Rocher.

As part of its global expansion strategy, Yves Rocher has taken up space at The Hub Karen and will be joining a list of six established beauty outlets including Madora the French chain of retail cosmetics stores, MAC, Fragrance Lounge, Divine Essential, Premier Spa outlets and Extreme Styling Hairdresser and Spa services.

According to Philippe Cauviere, the Chief Executive Officer of Azalea Holdings, the developers of The Hub Karen, the entry of Yves Rocher will serve to enhance the natural beauty segment offering at The Hub Karen as well as be a perfect complement to its fashion offering.

“At The Hub Karen, we have been undertaking extensive marketing outreach programmes to enable us attract local and international retailers catering to a discerning clientele,” Cauviere said. “alongside Yves Rocher, we have also signed up Bata Footwear as a tenant, further serving to enhance our existing Fashion and Accessories offering.”

Founded in 1959 by French entrepreneur Yves Rocher, the botanical beauty brand is the best-selling cosmetics line in France, and currently operates in more than 90 countries. Yves Rocher ensures quality and affordability of its products by controlling the full production chain, from “farm to face.”  From its 55 hectares of organic botanical fields in La Gacilly, France and throughout the world, Yves Rocher’s experts extract the most powerful botanical ingredients to offer high-quality and customized solutions for every skin type, while protecting the environment.  The firm’s 3 eco-friendly factories are located in France, where more than 150 scientists build upon the brand’s 50 years of plant expertise.

Yves Rocher meets the daily beauty needs of millions of women, all over the world.  Christopher J. Bak, director of the Kenyan operation, stated: “The reception of Yves Rocher in Nairobi has been tremendously encouraging, and we look forward to serving the Karen community with our fourth outlet.  Our Kenyan customers are loyal and appreciate our world-class face and skin care products from France, offered at pocket-friendly prices.”

At The Hub Karen, Yves Rocher will be making its tenancy debut ahead of Japanese Lifestyle retailer Miniso and French sports goods retailer Decathlon. The two outlets are expected to open their doors in August and the fourth quarter of this year respectively.
