Dalbit Petroleum picked the leading oil importer tax payer trophy at the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) 2018 Distinguished Taxpayers awards ceremony held on Wednesday.
At the awards ceremony presided over by President Uhuru Kenyatta, Dalbit Petroleum, carried home the Leading Large Oil Importer trophy for its diligence as a large taxpayer in the oil industry category.
Dalbit Petroleum, picked the overall trophy in the traditionally hotly contested market category featuring leading oil importer and marketers. Other oil importers MS Ramji Haribhai Devani and Brain Field Oil and Gas Limited picked the Medium and Small taxpayer category trophies.
Speaking, moments after the trophy presentation, Dalbit Petroleum Chief Officer- Supply Chain, Esther Ngero said the award is a further validation of the company’s commitment to be tax compliant and contribute to the social and economic development of the nation. The award, she said, had been made possible by the company’s leadership and employees’ continued commitment to uphold best in class operating standards.
The firm’s adoption of cutting edge information technology systems and global best practice in Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) standards, Ms Ngero added has also served to enhance adherence to tax and related compliance standards.
