Bank of Africa appoints three top managers

Bank of Africa Ltd has confirmed the appointment of Mary Mulili Mwende (pictured above) as the General Manager Business Development, Jeanne Olger Waluchio as the Head of Human Resources and Ian Ndenderu Mburu as the Head of Corporate Banking following approval by the Central Bank of Kenya (CBK).

 “We welcome the three new appointments who bring a wealth of experience to Bank of Africa that will be vital towards our goal of becoming the banker of choice for SMEs and trade finance,” said Ronald Marambii, the bank’s Managing Director.

Mulili joined Bank of Africa-Kenya in March 2018 as the General Manager Business Development. She previously held various Corporate Banking positions in I&M Bank, KCB Bank, ABC Bank and most recently held the position of Head of Corporate and Commercial Banking at GT Bank. Mary holds a Masters in Business Administration, a Bachelor of Education in Economics and Accounting from the University of Nairobi and a Diploma in Business Management. She has over 14 years of experience in Corporate and Commercial Banking.

Jeanne Waluchio, Head of Human Resources.

Waluchio joined Bank of Africa-Kenya in March 2018 as Head of Human Resources. She previously worked for Ericsson Kenya Limited as HR Business Partner, Ericsson Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda and Madagascar as Acting HR Manager, Samsung Electronics East Africa where she was the Learning and Development Manager, and most recently held the position of Head of Human Resources at Sidian Bank. Jeanne holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting from Kenyatta University and a Higher Diploma in Human Resource. She has over 16 years of experience in Talent and People Management amongst teams across Africa. She is as a Certified Organisation Effectiveness Coach.

Ian Mburu, Head of Corporate Banking.

Mburu joined Bank of Africa-Kenya in February 2018 as Head of Corporate Banking. He previously worked for CBA Bank, KCB Bank and most recently held the position of Head of Corporate and SME Banking at HFC.

Ian has a Masters in Business Administration – Strategic Management and a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance. Ian has over 19 years of experience in Banking.
