Bolloré Transport & Logistics has officially begun operations in Ethiopia through the newly incorporated Bolloré Transport & Logistics Ethiopia S.C.
The newest subsidiary of Bolloré Transport & Logistics, the global logistics operator, was created through a joint venture between Bolloré Transport & Logistics and the Ethiopian company, CLS Logistics, which has been its agent in the country for over 10 years.

The joint venture is set to offer Ethiopia a wider world of capabilities and solutions to support industry, business growth, and to power greater development in regional logistics.
“We have been the exclusive agent of Bolloré Transport & Logistics in Ethiopia since 2008 and through this partnership, we have successfully completed a number of flagship projects,” said Teodros Abraham, Founder and CEO of CLS Logistics, who has been appointed as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Bolloré Transport & Logistics Ethiopia.
He said the joint venture will enable the two companies to provide local industry with greater infrastructure, technology and equipment.
Mr Patrick Gerenthon, Director of the Horn of Africa Cluster at Bolloré Transport & Logistics, said the company shares a common vision with CLS Logistics of Ethiopia.
“The logistics sector, a pillar of industrial development, needs to be improved,” said Mr Gerethon. “With this new agency, the company is boosting its presence in East Africa while contributing to the logistics transformation in Ethiopia.”
Bolloré Transport & Logistics Ethiopia will commence with a workforce of 120 Ethiopian employees, an air-freight operations site at Addis Ababa’s Bole Airport, 4,000 m2 of warehouses in Kaliti and agencies in the industrial parks of Hawassa, Bole Lemi, and Kombolcha, as well as representation offices in the towns of Dire Dawa, Mekele, Bahir Dar and Moyale.
