Former President Daniel Toroitich Arap Moi was on Monday morning re-admitted to Nairobi Hospital a few days after being discharged from the same medical facility.
President Moi’s spokesperson Lee Njiru says that the former head of state has been undergoing regular checkups at the hospital since Saturday, November 9.
According to Njiru, the former president, 95, has been admitted at the hospital’s VIP wing where he undergoes the routine check-ups as “he steps up his recovery” under the supervision of his personal physician Dr David Silvernstein.
“ I appeal to the press fraternity not to cause unwarranted alarm by exploiting the credulity of the masses,” read a statement signed by Njiru “Medical bulletins will be issued as and if necessary,”

He added that the former president is “alert” and in stable condition.

Moi was discharged from the hospital last week where he had been admitted for two weeks where he was being treated for chest complications.
