Former Citizen TV news anchor Kanze Dena is now the acting State House Spokesperson and Head of Presidential Strategic Communications Unit following the nomination of  Manoah Esipisu for an ambassadorial position.

This comes barely a month after President Uhuru Kenyatta appointed her to deputise Esipisu, who had served the position since 2013. In her new position, she had the unique opportunity of breaking the news herself. When Kanze Dena was appointed, Business Today accurately predicated that it was the beginning of the end for Manoah Esipisu at State House.

The changes have set up Head of Presidential Strategic Communications Unit  for major shake-up as Uhuru moves to consolidate communications in his second term where his legacy will matter most than politics.

In mini-changes within government, Cabinet Secretary for Industry , Trade & Cooperatives Adan Mohamed has switched positions with his East African Affairs and Regional Development Authorities counterpart Peter Munya.
