The United Democratic Alliance (UDA) has formally opened the doors for party members seeking to contest elective positions in the 2027 General Election by convening a national Aspirants’ Forum.

The party announced that the forum will be held on 4 February 2026 at State House, Nairobi, from 8.00 a.m., bringing together all registered UDA aspirants intending to vie on the party’s ticket.

In a notice issued by the Office of the Secretary-General and dated 21 January 2026, UDA said the meeting follows a resolution of the party’s National Steering Committee (NSC) reached on 20 January 2026.

The forum is expected to provide a structured platform for engagement between the party leadership and aspirants as preparations for the 2027 elections gather momentum.

The notice, signed by UDA Secretary-General Sen. Hassan Omar Hassan, further indicated that aspirants can begin registering for the forum through the party’s official website.

The move signals the party’s early efforts to organize, coordinate, and prepare its members for the nomination and campaign processes ahead of the next general election.
