Fast-growing TV station TV47 is now available on Gotv, Kenya’s largest Pay TV service. It will be available on Channel 102. TV47 began beaming live to Gotv subscribers on November 1, 2021. It is accessible to users on all five Gotv packages – Gotv Supa, Gotv Max, Gotv Plus, Gotv Value and Gotv Lite.
The ‘Home of Untold Stories’ is counting on the move to expand its reach even further. Since its 2019 launch, TV47 has been steadily growing its market share thanks to its focus on local content and regional news from across the counties.
MultiChoice Kenya Managing Director Nancy Matimu highlighted TV47’s unique position as she welcomed them to the Gotv fold. TV47 is already available on MultiChoice-owned DSTV on Channel 268.
“TV47 is Kenya’s fastest-growing Free-To-Air (FTA) station and we are happy to onboard them to GOtv today. GOtv customers across all our five packages now have an increased slate of local content from this highly performing channel,” she noted.

The on-boarding coincided with the launch of the Gotv Supa package – an entertainment focused package to excite families this festive season.
TV47 CEO Abubakar Abdullahi spoke on the introduction of new shows on the station even as he noted the opportunities offered by Gotv. Like their rivals, TV47 is also keen on stepping up its political coverage with the 2022 General Elections drawing closer.
“Our entry into GOtv will enhance our reach. It also comes with a variety of new exciting programmes, both entertainment and educational…We are also approaching the electioneering period and TV47 will be the go-to station for all political commentary, interviews, profiles and breaking news,” he noted.
Its slate of programmes has recently expanded to include telenovelas The Bride of Judas: A Legendary Love and Darkness of the Soul. TV47 has also been providing more educational content eyeing learners at different levels.
