In a statement on Tuesday, TSC said it is looking for 755 Principals for Job Grade D3, T-scale 13, and 816 Deputy Principals III for Grade D1, T-scale 11, and their recruitment will be based on qualifications.

It added, “A teacher must have demonstrated the ability to supervise, mentor, and provide professional support to other teachers and meet any other requirements deemed necessary by the Commission.”

TSC is also seeking to fill 1,208 positions for Headteachers at Grade C5, T-scale 10, and 2,911 positions for Deputy Headteachers at Grade C4, T-scale 9, who will be hired in line with the country’s standardized Career Progression Guidelines for teachers.

“The Teachers Service Commission is a constitutional body established under Article 237 (1) of the Constitution. Pursuant to its mandate, the Commission invites applications from suitably qualified teachers for the above posts in line with the Career Progression Guidelines,” the Commission’s CEO Nancy Macharia has said.

Dr Macharia has already assured interested teachers that the recruitment will be free and fair. Applicants are to send their CVs and required documents via www.teachersonline.go.ke.

She clarified that manual applications will not be considered and that successful candidates will be required to present the other necessary documents as indicated on the TSC Careers Page on the day of interviews.
