Here’s The Amount You’ll Fork Out To Get UDA Ticket

The United Democratic Alliance (UDA) National Elections Board (NEB) has invited applications for tickets for all the six elective positions.

This comes days after the party associated with Deputy President William Ruto unveiled members of its NEB in preparation for primaries ahead of the August 9 General Election. The members of the Board include Anthony Mwaura (chairperson), Salome Beaco, Aurelia Rono, Ummi Bashir, Matiko Chacha, Raphael Chimera and Halake Dida.

The Board has given contestants until February 28, 2022 to submit their applications.

“United Democratic Alliance (UDA) invites all interested and qualified aspirants to submit their applications for nomination on or before February 28, 2022. The application should be done via the UDA website,” the party said.

Those intending to contest for Presidency using the Party’s ticket will pay an application fee of Ksh1 million for male candidates while female candidates and youth will pay Ksh500,000.

Male gubernatorial aspirants will pay Ksh500,000 while women and youth will pay Ksh250,000.

Those intending to become Members of Parliament and Senators on UDA tickets will fork out Ksh250,000 for male candidates, while women and the youth will cough out Ksh125,000. Aspiring Woman Representatives will pay Ksh250,000.

Aspirants seeking nomination certificates for the Member of County Assembly seat have been directed to pay Ksh50,000 and Ksh25,000 for male and female aspirants respectively.

Persons with disabilities will not pay any nomination fees for all the elective positions.
