The most expensive of the home fibre packages is the Diamond Plus which presents to customers the option of having 40 mbps bandwith, 4GB, 200 minutes worth of airtime as well as unlimited SMS.
In a statement to newsrooms, Safaricom’s Chief Customer Officer Sylvia Mulinge said that the new solution is an adaptation to its customers’ needs which have now been made easier by the digital transformation.
“Three years ago, we began our home fibre journey in response to demand from our customers for fast, reliable and unlimited connectivity at home. Our latest all-in-one offering seeks to cater to their communication demands both in and out of home,” said Ms. Mulinge.
Safaricom has also partnered with Jubilee Insurance to provide home fibre customers with a preferential home insurance cover which will not require customers to compile an inventory of their household goods in order to benefit from the policy.
“This partnership with Safaricom is just the beginning. We will continue to disrupt the industry so as to reach more people with our insurance solutions in order for them to live free,” said Winnie Njau, General Manager – General Insurance Business, Jubilee Insurance.
