Recently-launched Luo TV channel Ramogi TV has been launched on DStv 267 and GOtv 101, available on DStv Premium, Compact Plus, Compact, Family and Access packages as well as GOtv Supa, Max, Plus, Value and Lite packages.

Ramogi TV is a 24-hour free-to-air channel offering general entertainment to customers and broadcasts in Dholuo (Luo) language.  The channels programming line-up includes news, talk shows, commentaries, current, social, real life issues, news and educational content.

“In our quest to increase access to information to customers, we are excited to have Ramogi TV on our platforms. The addition of this channel is part of our strategy to increase our local content offering to our customers and offer them programming that is relevant and relatable to their viewing demands. Ramogi TV adds to the leading free-to-air channels on our platforms, and we look forward to the entertainment that the channel will bring to our viewers across the country,” said Nancy Matimu MultiChoice Kenya Managing Director.

The Luo TV station is the latest addition to the Royal Media Services (RMS) umbrella which encompasses fourteen radio stations, three TV stations, Citizen Digital and Viusasa – a video streaming platform with extra features for finding jobs, tenders and more.

“We are extremely delighted that the latest addition to our stable, Ramogi TV, is now on DStv and GOtv. This development, which will considerably widen the station’s footprint, fits into our overall strategy of reaching the widest possible audience with high quality content, that is both nationally and locally relevant. We are confident that this will be a key ingredient in ensuring the long-term success of Ramogi TV,” said Wachira Waruru, Group Managing Director Royal Media Services.

Ramogi TV is only the third TV station in the RMS portfolio, with the others being overall market leader Citizen TV and Kikuyu language station Inooro TV.
