Microfinance bank Ngao Credit has opened a new branch in Thika town. The new branch will serve the entire Thika region and will be located at Maisha Heights, 1st Floor along Kenyatta Street.

The new branch now brings to seven, the total number of branches Ngao Credit has across the country. Others are in Nairobi Upperhill and the Central Business District (CBD), Mombasa, Nakuru, Eldoret and Kitengela.

With the new branch, customers in Thika town and Central Kenya will now be able to seek services from the offshoot without having to visit the main office in Nairobi.

The services include import financing for those wishing to purchase new vehicles.

Ngao Credit will finance up to 70% of the value of the car customers are importing and 100% duty finance if the car is already at the port. For Asset Financing Services, Ngao Credit will offer Thika residents car loans of up to 60% the value of their cars.

SMEs in Thika can also take advantage of the Jijenge loan product. Unlike most other loan products, Jijenge will allow the SMEs to start payments after 3 months. The product has been structured in such a way that SMEs settle the interest only for the first two months and repay the principal plus interest in the third month with an interest rate of 10% per month.

Other products include auto-logbook loans that allow customers to borrow up to 60% of the value of their car in 6 hours and repay within a period of 24 months.

Thika town is a major commercial and industrial hub in Kiambu county and hosts some of the largest companies in Africa such as Bidco and Delmonte.

The town has a population of 139,853 as of the 2019 National Census, which is growing rapidly, as is the entire greater Nairobi area.

Ngao Credit Limited prides itself in providing financial solutions tailor-made for low-income individuals.

Their products are designed to foster sustainable economic empowerment and capacity building for people in developing regions.
