How to Buy iPhone 11 on Loan

The much-anticipated launch of the twin iPhone series, iPhone 11 Pro, and the iPhone Pro Max was off to a flying start, with 1,000 units of the two models being sold across various stores in Nairobi on Friday.

iPhone distributor, Redington Kenya says that the 1,000 phones were booked by customers on various dates, fifteen days before the launch date.

Speaking to journalists at a Nairobi Hotel on Friday (the launch date), Redington’s Sales Head for East Africa Amit Bose said that the firm is confident that it can sell at least 10,000 phones by the end of the year.

“Kenya is our main market in the East African region. If we perform strongly here it will have a ripple effect across the region. We are confident that iPhone11 Pro and iPhone Pro Max will be a hit with the middle class here,” said Mr. Bose.

Loan arrangement

Redington has also struck a partnership with product financing company Aspira where interested buyers with stable jobs and salaries can buy the iPhone on loan.

“In the arrangement, interested buyers will just have to submit their payslips to Aspira to show that they have stable jobs and rake in regular income, depending on the price of the phone, a loan can be advanced and payments spread over a given period of time,” said Mr. Bose.

According to the regional representative, iPhone currently boasts of 75% market share of the high-end phone market in Kenya.

“Our research shows that in Kenya, the middle class has a disposable income and our job is to make sure that our product sells itself and constantly get feedback from our customers so that we make sure that we improve our services,” added Mr. Bose
