Heritage Insurance, Liberty Life bag top awards

Heritage Insurance Kenya and Liberty Life Kenya bagged top awards during this year’s Think Business Insurance Awards, an achievement that was in recognition of their efforts in delivering efficient insurance and financial services to its customers.

Heritage Insurance, a leading General Insurer shrugged off competition from top insurance companies to emerge as the General Insurer of the Year as well as the winner in the Risk Management category for General Insurance. The awards are an affirmation of its continued investment in deliberate measures geared towards managing risk in order to facilitate the efficient running of the business and deliver value to the customer, a statement issued by the company said.

Heritage Insurance also bagged three more awards including; 2nd Runners-Up Medical Underwriter of the Year and 2nd Runners-Up- Best Insurance Company in Technology and Digital Application.

Commenting on this achievement, Heritage Insurance Managing Director Godfrey Kioi noted that the win highlights the firm’s core values of delivering beyond the promise in serving its customers. “This is an important recognition that will go a long way in driving our vision of being the leading wealth management company in Africa,”  Kioi added.

To crown the night, Liberty Life Assurance Kenya, the Life Insurance provider, bagged 5 awards including the coveted Young Achiever Award, awarded to Nita Gichure, who is the Head of Bancassurance & Affinity. Other awards won include; 1st Runners-Up- Life Insurer of the Year, 1stRunners-Up- Customer Service Award, 2nd Runners-Up- Risk Management Award and 2nd Runners-Up in the most Innovative Insurance Company Award.

Abel Munda, Liberty Life Managing Director noted that “Providing innovative and relevant solutions is our core business coupled with great talent to protect our customers’ assets. This recognition further validates our strategy and pursuit of financial inclusion while giving our customers freedom, choice and control,”  Munda added.

The annual awards were organised under the theme “Harnessing Change for Growth” aim to assess, recognise and celebrate innovation, prudence and stability in the financial sector by recognizing individuals and organisations that have exemplified outstanding performance over the past financial year.
