Diamond Platnumz is YouTube’s most-viewed artist of the year in Kenya.

The Tanzanian Bongo Flava music megastar beat out American best-selling recording artist Taylor Swift (who didn’t appear on the list) and Chris Brown for the number one spot, with 123 million streams from September 2023 to September 2024, according to statistics published by Nairobi Gossip Club.

Globally, though, with nearly 10 million subscribers, Diamond has racked up more than 2.7 billion views on his personal YouTube channel, compared to Taylor Swift’s 37 billion views with over 60 million subscribers as of November 2024 since 2006.
