Capital Group has inked a deal with the World Rally Championship (WRC) to host its famed music and food festival Koroga alongside this year’s Safari Rally in Naivasha.

The 30th edition of Koroga will be officially known as the WRC Koroga Festival and is slated to take place between June 23rd to June 26th, at the Garden on Moi South Lake Road, Naivasha.

“The WRC Koroga Festival will be a four-day food, fashion, and music festival that will bring us the best talent from across the continent to showcase the best we have from here in Kenya and around the region. We will bring together the best Kenyan DJ’s, and the best artists and create an opportunity to enjoy the Safari Rally on a totally different level,” Capital Group Commercial Director Farida Idris announced.

This year’s edition of the Safari Rally is the second since Kenya returned to the WRC circuit in 2021. Last year’s event saw hotels in Naivasha fully booked as local and international fans and teams enjoyed the spectacle.

Koroga is regarded as one of Kenya’s top music festivals. It hopes to make the most of the opportunity to deliver unforgettable experiences for fans at the event.

Kenya will host WRC Safari Rally every year until at least 2026. The country secured the hosting rights from the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA) and the WRC after years of intense government lobbying and preparations.

Idris thanked the President Uhuru Kenyatta and the Sports Ministry for ensuring the return of the Safari Rally to Kenya, highlighting the passion Kenyans have for the event.

WRC Safari Rally Kenya CEO Phineas Kimathi welcomed the partnership as well.

“Last year was a momentous occasion to have WRC return to Kenya after 19 years. It is exciting to have this opportunity for another 6 years. To this end, we are engraving the WRC culture as we integrate it with our own culture through the Inaugural Safari Rally Koroga Festival, WRC Safari Rally Kenya is excited to partner with Capital FM and Koroga Festival. See you in June for an exciting venture,” he stated.
