Aspira Kenya, a digital product financing company, has in October launched a new brand identity as part of its growth strategy in Kenya, as it moves to reinvigorate hire purchase in the digital space.

The company offers to finance for acquisition of various goods from select retailers.

Since setting up in Kenya in 2018, Aspira has evolved and needed a refresh of the company’s logo and brand colours to reflect a more modern look.

Aspira’s Managing Director, Yoeal Haile said the company aims to continue helping Kenyans to “live their best lives” through its product financing solutions, facilitate ownership of various goods and commodities while allowing consumers to pay in bits.

“We want to help our customers achieve their aspirations sooner rather than later,” said Haile. “Our aspiration is to provide customers with an affordable way of realizing their dreams, accessing various products they need, through our competitive financing solutions.”

The company, which has been in the market for a year, has more than 70 registered partners and a presence in over 100 points of sales in Nairobi and Mombasa. It is positioning itself as a reputable product financing organization, with a growing customer base.

With retail partners such as Victoria Courts, Tile & Carpet Centre, Hotpoint, Kingsway Tyres and Superfoam Mattresses among others, Aspira enables customers to own products within a year.

“We are allowing Kenyans to plan for their lives and finances responsibly. By giving them this offering, we allow them to pay for products they need without straining their pockets,” added Haile.

Select retailers

According to the 2019 FinAccess report, 90% of Kenyans have access to both formal and informal financial services.

With the relaunch of Aspira in the market, the gap between the urban and rural dwellers will further be bridged as more people will have access to credit, which allows them to purchase merchandise across the country, at an affordable rate.

Under a campaign dubbed Lipa Baadaye, Aspira also aims to provide customers with the knowledge and skills to take control of their finances through strategic borrowing to facilitate their lifestyles.

“Deepening access to financial facilities enables an economy to thrive. With our offerings, we believe that both the end-users and the retailers will be empowered thus boosting the country’s economy,” said Mr Haile.
