Samsung Electronics East Africa has unveiled its first of a kind ultra-modern brand shop in Kenya through which it hopes to capture a big share of the market ahead of the much anticipated world cup games.
The latest move is part of Samsung’s wider strategy to grow its brand in Kenya as well as cater for the high demand for Smart TVs, refrigerators, washing machines and other consumer electronics.
Samsung intends to use the outlet situated at Mirage Plaza along Waiyaki Way to not only introduce more innovative state of the art products but also offer accessibility and affordability.
“Other than offering user friendly products, we also feel it is time we give our clients ease of accessing our products in more secure and safe places that they can come to anytime they so wish,” said Samwel Odhiambo, Head of consumer electronics at Samsung Kenya.
According to Odhiambo, the new store will only stock consumer electronics and will give consumers a chance to explore the new innovations in consumer electronics which Samsung is driving.
“Samsung is cognizant of how technology is fast taking shape in the lives of our consumers, especially at home. In July, we shall be launching our 2018 QLED TVs in Kenya with a stand out feature, “ambient mode” which enables the TV to blend into their surroundings,” he added.
The shop has product experience zone with full of Samsung QLED televisions ranging from 24 to 48 inches. Samsung says this will give its football loving customers a new experience as they will strive to catch up with all the on goings in Russia.
Apart from the television sets, the shop also stocks home appliances like fridges, microwaves, laundry machines among others.
Since opening its doors in Kenya, Samsung has opened five customer care centres in Nairobi, one in Eldoret and one in Mombasa, all geared to meet the needs of consumers.
The latest launch of the Samsung ultra-modern Shop comes at a time when Samsung has shifted its potential to tap more football lovers ahead of World cup 2018 and also grow its market share across mobile and consumer electronics segments
