Just days into the most popular sporting event in the world, the 2022 FIFA World Cup, GOtv has extended its signal in Taita Taveta County. Voi residents will now enjoy Qatar World Cup games as well as entertaining kiddie content during the school holidays.
GOtv continues to keep its promise of offering unmatched quality and affordable entertainment by making great entertainment more accessible. The company has commissioned the fifth signal transmission site in Taita Taveta targeting at least 53,000 households.
Mr Andrew Mwadime, the Governor Taita Taveta County, who officially commissioned the site said residents will access a variety of local and international entertainment channels on GOtv.
“Taita Taveta is known for its rich biodiversity but has also increasingly become a significant hub for local investment within the coastal region,” Mr Mwadime said. “As we expand our partnership with MultiChoice today, we welcome GOtv to Taita Taveta county and look forward to the opportunities that this investment will offer the people of Taita Taveta.”
The brings to 30 the total number of transmission stations offering a signal coverage of up to 80% across the country. The new transmission site is located at Mwakingale Hill on the outskirts of Voi town and will serve the residents of Voi town and its environs, Tsavo East, SDA Taita Village, Manyatta, Maungu, Ndara, Taita Taveta University, Landi, Chakaleri, Mwatunge, Mzwanenyi Ikanga and Ndome.

GOtv offers local and international general entertainment channels on over 70 local and international channels on five packages – Supa (Ksh1,599pm), Max (Ksh1,249pm), Plus (Ks930pm), Value (Ks590pm) and Lite (Ksh199pm), offering a different mix of channels on the various packages.
GOtv customers in Taita Taveta can get sales and aftersales support from Multichoice service partners who include Hot Bird, Gold Hub, Ng’atogigire, JN Electronics, Manifest Mega Electronics, Topline electronics, RM Electronics, Ebenezer Electronics and Gaab Electronics.
Services on offer including decoder purchases, payment of subscriptions, package upgrades and downgrades, decoder diagnostics, customer care support, software upgrades, repair or replacement of faulty decoders, customer education on self-help service techniques, installation services and purchase of accessories among others.
