Ruto to Issue Title Deeds, Launch Roads in Kwale, Taita-Taveta

Residents of Kwale and Taita-Taveta counties are set to benefit from a series of government activities on Monday as President William Ruto visits the Coast region for land ownership and infrastructure projects.

The visit will begin in Kibaoni, Lunga Lunga Constituency, Kwale County, where the President is expected to distribute title deeds to residents, giving beneficiaries official documents recognising their ownership of land.

The issuance of the documents is intended to help residents secure their property rights and provide formal proof of ownership, an important step in addressing land ownership challenges in the region.

From Kwale, Ruto will head to Taita-Taveta County, where attention will shift to transport infrastructure, with two road projects scheduled for launch in Voi Constituency.

The President will launch the construction of the Maungu-Kasighau Road before proceeding to the Voi-Sagala Road, in projects expected to improve movement between communities and make transport more convenient for residents.

Better road connections could also support local businesses by easing the transportation of goods and improving access to markets, schools and health facilities.

Housing and sports projects on the agenda

Ruto’s programme in Voi will also include visits to two development projects as the government continues to invest in public facilities and housing.

The President is expected to inspect construction works at Vindo Stadium, where he will assess the progress of the sports facility.

The stadium is part of efforts to improve sporting infrastructure and provide facilities for athletes and other members of the community.

He will also visit the Voi Affordable Housing Project to review the progress of the development, which falls under the government’s wider plan to increase access to affordable homes.

The housing programme seeks to provide more Kenyans with access to decent housing while supporting employment opportunities in the construction sector.

The President is scheduled to conclude his tour with a public rally in Voi Town, where he will address residents.

The activities bring together several development priorities for the two counties, from formalising land ownership in Kwale to improving roads, housing and sports facilities in Taita-Taveta.

The road projects are expected to improve connectivity within the county, while the title deed exercise will focus on helping residents obtain formal recognition of their land ownership.
