The Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) is inviting bids from suppliers of various goods, works and services for the Financial Year 2023/24 to 2024/25.

Among other things, KDF is looking for supplies and deliveries of fresh food stuffs, dry food stuffs, dog food, dog equipment and accessories, veterinary services, general hardware, motor vehicle spare parts, computers and ICT accessories, furniture, stationery and cleaning materials.

It is also seeking non-consulting services including cleaning and sanitary services, laundry services, garbage and waste collection, banking services, tailoring services, hotel and accommodation services, event management services, provision of hospitality supplies and services, provision of mobile washrooms, insurance services for aircrafts, air ticketing and air travel services, ocean freight services, road freight services, car hire, internet services, printing, auctioneering services and maintenance of aircrafts, plants, machinery and equipment.

“Tendering will be conducted through various tendering procedures using a standardized tender document and will be open to all applicants who prequalify,” a notice from KDF read in part.

A complete set of prequalification documents can be viewed and downloaded online for free on www(dot)mod(dot)go(dot)ke. 

One can also obtain more information and inspect pre-qualification documents during office hours (9:00-5:00) at the Ministry of Defence offices at Ulinzi House, Lenana Road.

“Applicants who download the Prequalification Document must forward their particulars immediately to ahop@mod(dot)go(dot)ke to facilitate any further clarification or addendum,” MoD noted.

Applicants sending in hard copies were advised by the Ministry of Defence to send them through postal services in clearly marked envelopes by Friday, April 14.
