World Cup: Valley Arcade Mall Unveils Fan Park for Nairobians

World Cup fans in Nairobi are set to enjoy a fan experience at the Valley Arcade Shopping Mall for the duration of the tournament.

Football fans and party-goers will get to enjoy all the games on projectors and big screens. Also available will be drinks, music, street food, table service, reservations, a FIFA gaming zone and pre-match activities including football anthems.

The fan park officially opens on Tuesday, November 11 with several games lined up. Entry is strictly for those 18 and above.

The fan park will be open at the Valley Arcade New Wing, 1st Floor. Entry is Ksh500.

Today, Lionel Messi will lead Argentina in their clash with Saudi Arabia. Other teams in action on Tuesday include defending champions France, Denmark, Mexico, Tunisia, Australia and Poland.

In coming days, more tasty clashes are lined up including Portugal v Ghana on Thursday, and Qatar v Senegal and England vs USA on Friday.

The World Cup has seen some interesting results so far, including England’s exciting 6-2 win against Iran and USA’s 1-1 draw with Wales last night. Tim Weah’s first half opener was cancelled by a late Gareth Bale penalty.

Netherlands also needed two late goals to beat a resilient Senegal, carrying the hopes of many Africans.

Games will be heated going into the weekend as teams battle to ensure a place in the knockout stages. Who are you rooting for?
