Woman accused of killing popular actor detained

Grace Namu, the woman accused of stabbing Vioja Mahakamani and Juniour actor Jamal Nassul Gadafi has been detained for five more days to allow police complete investigations into the murder.

Mavoko Law Courts Senior Principal Magistrate C Oluoch ordered the detainment of Ms Namu until December 18 following an application by the prosecution who asked for more time to allow the investigating officers build a case against the accused.

Ms Namu is alleged to have killed Gadafi on Tuesday moments after a quarrel they were having got out of hand. It is claimed that she stabbed him on the chest at Arks Hotel in Mlolongo, Athi River.

The police report the prosecution used in court recounted the events of the fateful night.

“It was reported that Jamal Nassul Gadafi, 39, was having a party at Arks Hotel near 67 Airport Hotel on the night of December 11, 2018. There was a quarrel between him and his friend Grace Kanamu Namu, 40. She picked a knife and stabbed him,”
