Popular presenter Willis Raburu has confirmed his exit from Royal Media Services (RMS) after 13 years at the company. He tendered his resignation earlier this month. His last day at the company will be June 30th, 2023.

In a farewell message, Raburu voiced gratitude for the opportunities presented by his former employer and also appreciated former colleagues for their support over the years.

“I have done interviews with sitting Presidents, I have travelled and covered Kenya’s maiden entry into war in Somalia, I’ve read the news, I’ve done different types of stories…I’ve done it all,” he noted.

Raburu, who also served as the host of the youth-focused Friday night entertainment show 10 Over 10, joined the station in 2010. With its focus on music, dance and content creation, 10 over 10 has risen in prominence over the past few years.

Raburu announced that he would be releasing a book dubbed Undefined. The book chronicles his experiences including those in the media over the past decade. Raburu noted that the book was available on preorder.

He expects to continue pursuing his Masters degree at the United States International University (USIU). Raburu graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Communication and Media Studies from Moi University in 2010.

He, however, noted that he was going to take a break to plot his next move. Raburu, who describes himself as an influencer, media personality and digital and communications consultant, also noted that he would continue creating content for YouTube and social media.

“I’m gonna take a breather, step back, look at everything, share the knowledge I’ve learned in my book,” he stated.
