SasaPay and Oma service have announced a new payment solution for passengers of electric buses.

The collaboration aims to promote the use of Electric buses provided by BasiGo while simplifying the payment process for passengers.

With this collaboration, passengers of Oma service bus will be able to use SasaPay to pay for their journey. SasaPay is a mobile money wallet product by ViewTech LTD.

Passengers can top-up their accounts and pay for their tickets directly from the app, or dial *626#, eliminating the need for physical cash or physical tickets.

“We are excited to be collaborating with the Electric Bus Company to offer a convenient payment solution for passengers,” said SasaPay MD Stephen Kaguchia.

“SasaPay cashless platform will help to promote the use of electric buses, which are an eco-friendly and sustainable mode of transportation. By enabling passengers to pay for their tickets directly from their mobile phones, we are making the payment process more convenient and streamlined.”

“My vison is to have a cashless matatu industry in Kenya and SasaPay has accepted to walk this journey with Oma services,” said George Githinji Chairman Oma services.

“We believe that SasaPay will make it easier and more convenient for passengers to use our buses, and we look forward to working together to make cashless payment more accessible to everyone.”
