Safaricom on Thursday for the umpteenth time announced impending outage of M-PESA services over planned maintenance.

In a statement, the company stated that the maintenance will be undertaken between Thursday at 2359hrs to 0500 hrs.

“During the maintenance, all M-PESA services including airtime purchase shall be temporarily unavailable. The timing of this activity has been planned to result in the least inconvenience to our customers,” read a statement issued by Safaricom.

“We apologise for any inconvenience caused and thank you for your continued support,” further read the statement.

This is the second time that the company is undertaking maintenance of the payment service.
