Safaricom has partnered with Naivas Supermarket in a move aimed at expanding access to high-speed internet across Kenya. The collaboration will see Safaricom’s 5G Home Internet devices stocked in all Naivas outlets countrywide, allowing customers to easily purchase routers as they shop.

The partnership is part of Safaricom’s Silver Jubilee celebrations as the company marks 25 years of connecting and transforming lives in Kenya. It also coincides with Naivas’ 35th anniversary as the country’s largest retail chain.

Safaricom Chief Consumer Business Officer Fawzia Ali said the partnership marks a key milestone in the company’s efforts to enhance connectivity and digital inclusion.

“We are proud to partner with Naivas Supermarket to bring our internet connectivity closer to customers. It marks a major milestone in our journey as Safaricom to expand access to high-speed internet through both traditional and alternative channels,” she said.

Through the deal, Safaricom aims to make internet access more convenient for households and businesses by bringing its 5G and 4G Home Internet devices closer to customers who shop at Naivas outlets.

The telco has also partnered with Quickmart earlier this year to extend the availability of its 4G and 5G Home Internet devices across all 61 of the retailer’s branches nationwide.

Customers can purchase 4G and 5G routers, both retailing at Ksh 2,999, from Naivas and Quickmart outlets, Safaricom retail shops, authorised dealers, and online via Masoko.co.ke.

Safaricom has recently upgraded its Home Fibre service, increasing speeds on the Entry Package from 10Mbps to 15Mbps at no additional cost. New customers can now subscribe to the 15Mbps plan for Ksh 2,999.

The company says the upgrade will enhance the home internet experience by offering faster and more reliable connectivity for everyday browsing, streaming, and remote work.

With the rollout of 5G technology, Safaricom has positioned Kenya as a regional leader in digital innovation, enabling faster internet speeds, supporting emerging technologies, and improving service delivery across multiple sectors, including access to government services.

The partnership with Naivas is expected to strengthen Safaricom’s presence in the digital market and reinforce its commitment to driving innovation and digital transformation in Kenya.
