Journalist Fred Arocho has received a new phone from betting firm Odibets days after losing his phone while celebrating with football fans in Kisumu County.

In a video that has since gone viral, Arocho is seen celebrating with football fans in a stadium setting shortly before noticing his phone was missing.

A visibly frustrated Arocho cut short the celebrations as he tried to find the phone while asking for help. The phone had been stolen by an unknown fan who had joined him in the celebrations.

Lucky for Arocho, Odibets General Manager Dedan Mungai gave him a new device to replace the phone he had lost over the weekend. The renowned journalist could not hide his joy while picking up the phone at Odibets offices.

“My phone is my life, everything I do revolves around it, I shoot content everywhere I go with my phone thus it was a huge loss but now I have an even better phone courtesy of Odibets who have come through for me,” said Arocho.

Speaking to journalists as he handed over the phone to Arocho, Mr. Mungai said, the company supports talent and they had to come through for Arocho as he is a talented and seasoned journalist.

“Today we are here to support our very own Arocho who found himself on the unfortunate turn of events. Our efforts to reinstate his status phone will help him, continue doing the good he has been championing for society thus far,” remarked Mr Mungai.
