NCBA has today launched the Tatu City Branch, Kenya’s leading Special Economic Zone, targeting individuals and businesses in Kenya’s fast-paced urban development. Tatu City is the seventh branch in Kiambu County with Githunguri, and Limuru opened last year

Tatu City has spurred industrial growth in the region by offering modern utilities, reliable power and improved road networks. This in turn has attracted manufacturing firms, logistics companies and SMEs, promoting job creation and economic growth.

NCBA Tatu City Branch, located in Eneo at Tatu Central, a Grade A mixed-use retail and commercial office development, began its operations in November 2024. The launch comes after the branch has demonstrated an encouraging performance, it said.

“We want to make our banking services readily accessible and responsive to the unique needs of each community, be it a resident looking for personal financing, an employee in need of a quick loan or a business seeking asset financing or working capital, we are ready to partner with you. As part of customer satisfaction and increased engagement, we offer convenience by reducing the need to travel to neighbouring towns to access banking services,” Ag. Group Director Retail Banking at NCBA, Mr. Dennis Njau said.

In supporting Kenya’s Vision 2030, Tatu City has invested in manufacturing, real estate and commerce, advancing the country’s industrialisation agenda. NCBA has been supporting these sectors through its financial products and solutions. With most companies having active schemes, NCBA has looped in businesses to allow their staff to have access to credit facilities customised to their needs.

NCBA has additionally partnered with real estate developers around Tatu City to offer mortgage solutions targeting more than 25,000 people living, working and studying in the area. Experiencing an influx in inter-branch customers, the branch has made it easier for over 100 businesses either operational or in development, to conduct their transactions.

Adding on to its sustainability commitment to the environment, the bank donated 100 trees and planted five ceremonial trees to support the community’s green initiatives during the launch of the branch. “We are excited to bring NCBA services closer to our Tatu City customers, and we have received a positive reception from the community,” Group Director Risk and Compliance at NCBA, Mr Tim Armitage.
