MultiChoice Kenya promises best FIFA World Cup coverage

Football fans across the continent can now smile after Multi choice Kenya unveiled its plans to deliver the best world cup experience to its subscribers through live broadcast of the FIFA 2018 world cup starting June.

The complete Russian experience will be available on GOtv Max on Select 4 with live games, full highlights, build-ups, interviews, analysis and magazine shows.

According to General Manager, GOtv Kenya, Simon Kariithi, MultiChoice Kenya decision to bringing home live world cup coverage is part of the company’s wider strategy to offer value for their customer’s money.

“We strive to offer value for money to our customers by offering our subscribers a wide variety of the best local and international content, including seasonal sports content like the FIFA world cup 2018,”  he said

Other than enjoying the games on select 1 and 2, GOtv customers on the GOtv Max and GOtv Plus packages will also be treated to SS14 on GOtv channel 36, with an assortment of exciting content including great legacy footage, highlights, documentaries, FIFA films, classic matches and interviews.

GOtv Lite customers will enjoy a select number of games available on FTA channels.

MultiChoice Kenya managing director Eric Odipo said the broadcast will be aired in the languages the customers resonates with easily with 160 countries they will cover.

“Its going to be great new unmatched viewing experience, customers will find it easy to enjoy our matches in the languages they understand best,” he said.

Dstv customers with compact, premium and compact plus bouquet will also catch the matches alive.

Odipo said: “MultiChoice’s key priority is to put customers’ needs at the heart of everything we do. We are committed to deliver value through the best football tournament experience on TV to our customers live and in HD glory on SuperSport. Both DStv and GOtv Max and Plus customers will get to enjoy the games from the comfort of their homes, only on our platforms will viewers enjoy additional benefits such as Swahili commentary and on-the-go viewing via the DStv Now and SuperSport apps for an enhanced viewing experience.”

“Clients with androids and IOS phones or tablets will be the most beneficiary of this plan since all they will have to do is to install the ‘DSTV now’ applications in their gadgets and watch the matches anywhere they are,” Odipo added.

The programme will kick off on 18 April when Dstv will launch a new channel that will mainly focus on World cup coverage.

We also make sure to deliver this exciting content through leading-edge technology that will take our customers viewing experience to the next level and match their constantly evolving lifestyles,” said Odipo.
