Of the tens of thousands of mourners who swarmed the Vatican for the Pope’s funeral on Saturday, a few hundred were world leaders who joined the public and clergy from around the world to pay their final respects in St Peter’s Square.
According to a public report, the funeral of Pope Francis was attended by representatives from at least 125 out of 193 UN member states, along with the Republic of China, Kosovo, Palestine, and the Sovereign Military Order of Malta, including 61 heads of state, 43 representatives of heads of state, and 31 heads of government.
