KTN Prime Time news anchor Yussuf Ibrahim has announced he has quit the Mombasa Road-based station further depleting its ranks following mass exits last year.

Ibrahim, who co-anchored news bulletins with Akisa Wandera, took to his social media accounts to announce Wednesday was his last day of presenting news at the Standard Group-owned TV station. He, however, did not reveal where he was headed to though he revealed he had secured a new position.

“I want to bid farewell to all @KTNKenya viewers. Today marks my last day with @KTNKenya. It’s been an amazing journey. I now look forward to a new position that brings forth new challenges and adds more diverse experience to my career.. Thank you all for the support,” he tweeted.

He joined KTN in 2011 from K24 where he had mastered considerable following thanks to his reporting and presentation skills.

Apart from presenting news, Ibrahim hosted Bottom Line Africa and Big Story, which were some of the most followed programmes at KTN.

He also wrote a message to KTN staff informing them of his move, this time revealing Sunday will be his last day at work:
