Jumia shakes online market with Ksh1,000 Heineken deal

There are online sales, and then there’s the “Heineken Party” Flash Sale. Over the course of Jumia’s 6th Anniversary celebrations (ongoing), this deal has taken Kenyan beer lovers by storm. Every day at 12 noon, Heineken and Amstel 20-packs are on sale on Jumia’s website for only Ksh1000 (down from more than Ksh3,000)

BMI Research firm puts beer consumption in the country at a remarkable annual growth rate of approximately 11% between 2017 and 2021. That helps to explain how over 5,000 packs of Heineken and Amstel are sold within minutes of going live each day.

The Jumia Anniversary also features deals on more than 1.5 million products, with discounts of up to 60%. This covers categories such as electronics, groceries, fashion, beauty among others and across brands such as Huawei, Pampers, LC Waikiki & Samsung.

Expert tip: In contrast to the longer lasting flash sales, the “Heineken Party” Flash Sales last for just a few minutes due to the high demand. Only customers with the fastest fingers will secure the deal before stocks run out each day.

To maximise your chance on all the deals, log in to your account before 12pm everyday, and refresh the page to make sure the item is live. Add your item to the cart, and checkout immediately, as the stock can run out if other customers beat you to it!
