Jumia, Africa’s leading e-commerce platform, is running a Brand Festival campaign in partnership with top global brands such as Samsung, Bruhm, Xiaomi, Nivea and Pernod Ricard.

The campaign, which runs from September 28th to October 4th, provides consumers with access to top-quality products directly from manufacturers, thereby reducing the cost of the products.

“The Brands Festival is an opportunity for brands with official stores on Jumia Mall to reach more customers, and for consumers to purchase at great prices directly from brands. Quality and value are more important than ever for our customers,” said Jumia CEO Sam Chappatte.

E-commerce platforms like Jumia have made life easier for people during this Covid-19 period with more people opting for online deliveries for essentials.

Mr Chappatte’s sentiments were echoed by Charles Kimari, Head of Integrated Mobile, Samsung Electronics East Africa who noted that “the Brands Festival is a great milestone in Jumia’s transformation into a brand-focused platform, guaranteeing top service and quality. We at Samsung are excited to work together with Jumia teams across Africa.”

Jumia has over 110,000 sellers, and serves over 6.8 million consumers in the region through its marketplace platforms in 11 African countries. The company directly employs over 5,000 people (500 in Kenya), and is expected to contribute significantly towards the 3 million new jobs that are expected from online marketplaces by 2025.

Why shop during the Brands Festival? Jumia Mall is the Home of brands, and has a curated selection of international and local brands sold by authorized distributors via their “Official Stores”. Consumers have the widest assortment of their favourite brands in one online store, 100% authentic products and enjoy up to 14-day hassle-free return policy.
