Defence Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale has been in the headlines following the release of his book For The Record, chronicling his experiences in politics over the decades.
But outside the political intrigue that has characterized much of his life in the public eye, Duale is also a businessman with interests in real estate, hospitality and livestock among other sectors.

Nomad Palace Garissa
Duale also owns Nomad Palace Garissa, one of the largest hotels in the North Eastern town. Notably, Duale is a former Member of Parliament representing Garissa Township.
Nomad Palace Garissa features 67 rooms with modern fittings and impressive Swahili-style architecture. It currently costs around Ksh4,900 to spend a night at the hotel. Nomad Palace Garissa also includes a restaurant.
