Galana Energies has completed an upgrade of its Ukunda station in Kenya, installing Wayne Global Century fuel dispensers to keep up with soaring demand from trucks, tuk-tuks, local government vehicles and other motorists.
With vehicle traffic growing rapidly, the challenge has been refuelling more vehicles fast. The answer came in the form of high-flow dispensers from Dover Fuelling Solutions, supplied and installed by local partner, PumpTech LTD.
The move means faster refuelling, less downtime, and better service for consumers – from boda boda riders to county fleets – all at a high-traffic site that’s vital to Kilifi’s local transport network.
The Galana Energies Ukunda station serves a broad spectrum of customers, ranging from fleet and light passenger vehicles to motorcycles and ‘tuk-tuks’. A significant portion of the customer traffic is also made up of large trucks from the County Government of Kilifi. All of which are an integral part of the local transport network.

The three Wayne Global Century fuel dispensers feature higher flow rates specifically designed to cater to the station’s increasing traffic, form part of their Ukunda site revamp.
The Global Century fuel dispensers were chosen for their proven minimal drift and low total cost of ownership. These features make the pumps a cost-effective, long-term solution, ideal for high-traffic stations. With a strong track record of providing solutions in the fuelling sector, PumpTech Ltd played a pivotal role in the installation and commissioning of the Global Century fuel dispensers.
“Their deep knowledge of Wayne dispenser systems and commitment to high-quality service were key to ensuring the station’s upgrade was completed smoothly and on schedule,” Galana said. “As the demand for fuel continues to rise in Ukunda and the surrounding areas, the Galana Energies station is now better equipped to handle increasing traffic, all while providing excellent customer service.”
