Britam Appoints Hilda Njeru As New Company Secretary

Britam’s board of directors has announced the appointment of Ms Hilda Njeru as the acting Director of Legal and Company Secretary.

Hilda will serve in an acting capacity as the recruitment of a substantive Company Secretary gets underway.

Hilda is a financial services executive with over 15 years’ experience in banking, capital markets, regulatory affairs and corporate governance leadership.

She is currently the Group Head of Corporate Governance.

Hilda holds a Master of Laws degree, LL.M, and a Bachelor of Laws degree, LL.B, both from the University of Nairobi.

She will be graduating with a Master of Science degree in International Business Administration from the University of London in July 2023.

Hilda is also a Certified Public Accountant – CPA(K), a Certified Public Secretary – CPS(K),
a Certified Governance Auditor and an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya.

Ms Njeru’s appointment follows the exit of Nancy Karimi Kiruki in October 2022, who left to join Stanbic Bank as the Company Secretary.
