Prominent radio presenter Laura Walubengo has quit Capital FM barely seven months after rejoining the media house.

Walubengo returned to the Chris Kirubi-owned company in January from South African firm, MultiChoice where she was working as the Lead Digital Communications Specialist East Africa for DStv based in Kenya since 2014.

Previously, Walubengo, who started her career at national broadcaster, the Kenya Broadcasting Corporation (KBC), also served as a sports presenter and the Senior Editor (Lifestyle).

In the latter role, she ran and managed one of the newest portals on Capital Digital Media, the Capital Lifestyle, where she did multiple articles on entertainment, music, movies, relationships, technology, arts, cars, food, travel, fashion and events.

She has been hosting news every morning on #LauraBrief alongside Maqbul.

News of her departure were broken by colleague Amina Abdi on Instagram.
