Betty Kyalo lines up mouth-watering weekend edition at K24

K24 has recast its programming as it prepares to unveil popular anchor Betty Kyalo who is set to take over the weekend edition.

In a teaser, the Mediamax Network-owned TV station is promising an eye-watering experience that will see Kyalo, whose return is eagerly awaited, hosting a new programme, Weekend With Betty, which would cover not just news but also travel, adventure, exclusive stories, shopping, out and about, exploration, thrills and interactive episodes.

Kyalo, who made a shock move from KTN News in August, will premiere on Friday. Initially, she was set to debut on November 23.

K24 is also promising that its anchors will go beyond the news as it repackages the team that includes Erik Njoka, Franklin Wambugu, Mwanaisha Chidzuga, Isabella Kituri, Anjlee Gadhvi, Karen Karimi, Shawn Osimbo, Rose Gakuo, Shiksa Arora, Wanjiku Mwendwa, Sam Njoroge, Nancy Onyancha, Fred Indimuli, Torome Tirike, Tony Timase and Ken Wariahe.

With Kyalo taking over the weekend edition, it is expected that the English team comprising of Gadhvi, Karimi, Njoka, Arora and Indimuli will be reshuffled.

Kyalo is set to replace Gadhvi, who presently kicks off the Weekend Edition on Friday.

Gakuo, who was poached from KBC, currently hosts the 9 pm prime time news on Monday through to Wednesday.

Eric Njoka takes over the week alongside Karen Karimi Knaust on Thursday before making a return on Sunday.
