Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) has signed a partnership with the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK) that will see members of both entities benefit from local and global access to learning resources and collaborate on public policy deliberations that directly impact the accountancy profession.

The partnership, which also targets to catapult membership growth, will see the two entities collaborate in offering joint Continuous Professional Development (CPD) courses and ICPAK members will be able to access ACCA’s suite of professional services at a discounted rate.

In addition, the partnership will ensure the provision of quality support and development opportunities to members of the two entities as the bodies will also undertake joint promotional activities to raise awareness and the overall visibility of the ACCA and ICPAK strategic partnership.

“As embedded in our strategic framework to 2025, we continue to reaffirm our goal to shape the future and create long-term value which will support accountants both locally and globally,” said Steve Obuogo, Head of ACCA Kenya and Tanzania.

“We value inclusion and this partnership is instrumental in ensuring that we create opportunity for both practicing and non-practicing members in the country and cast the net wide for future professionals.”

On his part, CPA Edwin Makori, the CEO of ICPAK noted “Our mission as an Institute is to develop and promote an internationally recognized accountancy profession that upholds public interest through effective regulation, research, and innovation. The signing of this MoU is but a step in realizing our mission.”

“As transactions in the world continue to be dynamic, collaboration and synergy in the profession and with other partners like this one today is essential to ensure that the solutions proposed and interventions applied are responsive and timely.”
