Sarova Hotels and Resorts walked away with top honours at the 14th edition of the World Luxury Hotel Awards.

Sarova, Kenya’s first indigenous hospitality company, won two awards at the gala which celebrates the best in facilities, management and service quality in the luxury hotel industry.

Sarova Whitesands Beach Resort & Spa clinched the best Luxury Family Beach Resort in the region while Sarova Mara Game Camp was named the best Tented Safari Camp.

The selection process involved voting by international tour operators, travel agents and hotel guests.

While the Covid-19 pandemic has had an adverse impact on the hospitality industry, Sarova was credited for prioritizing clients’ safety and maintaining high standards.

The hospitality group has sought to position its properties as all-year round destinations for tourists from around the world.
