Kalonzo Musyoka’s Wiper Party has selected Musician Jackson Makini alias Prezzo to run for the vacant Kibra parliamentary seat on its ticket.

Wiper Party leader made this announcement on Tuesday at the Party headquarters. However, Kalonzo said that Prezzo will vie for the seat in 2022 and not the November by-elections.

Kalonzo Musyoka tweeted about his meeting with Prezzo saying that he will vie for the seat in 2022.

The announcement by Kalonzo Musyoka has left a lot of Kenyans shocked as no one could have predicted it. Kenyans have tabled their different views about the announcement to run Prezzo for the vacant seat.

First, most Kenyans could not believe when reggae DJ Chrish Odhiambo alias Kriss Darling announced his interests. The entertainer went ahead to shock Kenyans, even more, when he knelt before ODM Party leader Raila Odinga to ask for a ticket.

McDonald Mariga was also a surprise as many knew him as a footballer and nothing more. At first, the news about Mariga’s interest was not clear but when he arrived at the Jubilee Party Headquarters to submit his papers, it became certain he was running.

Prezzo can be termed as the last name that can come to a Kenyan’s mind when asked of probable candidates for the Kibra vacant seat. The musician has been known for among other things, severally trending on social media and not because of his music.

To some Kenyans, the news has not come as a surprise. Judging on the list of candidates that will be vying for the seat, these Kenyans said that anyone could still come up to ask for Kibra residents’ votes.
