KTN News Anchor and political news editor Ben Kitili is unfazed amid criticism from a section of muslim faithful after he wedded his lifelong fiancé Amina Mude, a Muslim raised in Wajir.

The former K24 news anchor and Amina made their union official on Friday November 16 at the Attorney General’s office in Nairobi before proceeding to host close family and friends at the wedding reception at Panari Hotel.

But it was not all smooth for the couple; Kitili took to twitter in defiance over online backlash from hardliners who believe that Muslims ought not to marry from another religion.

Kitili’s fellow news anchor Linda Oguttu also took to social media to congratulate him.

Kenyans, on the other hand, are in awe of his courage. They were impressed by his decision to soldier on despite the negative comments from naysayers.

Cross-religious marriage is a sticking issue across the world. According to Islamic law, Muslim women are not allowed to marry non-Muslims.
